Tradition, Craftsmanship and Quality
The culture of Brazil's countryside has always been traditionally linked to the use of straw cigarettes, very common among people who lived in rural regions or outside urban centers. Over time, it became a symbol of rural culture, also reaching urban territories.

What is a Brazilian Straw Cigarette?
A Brazilian straw cigarette is an entirely handcrafted tobacco product that uses natural corn husk (palha de milho) as its wrapper. At Palheiros Paulistinha, we reinforce the preservation of this tradition throughout our journey through modern and current manufacturing, while preserving the essence of artisanal work developed manually in various stages. We are proud to share the essence of Brazil's countryside with the world!
Why Brazilian Cigars?
Brazilian cigars have been crafted since the 1800s, blending centuries of tradition with expert rolling techniques. Made from unique regional tobaccos, each cigar delivers a smooth, rich flavor that reflects Brazil's vibrant culture and dedication to quality. Experience a smoke that stands out in aroma, taste, and craftsmanship.

The Heritage of Brazilian Tobacco
A Journey Through Time
Indigenous Origins
Long before European colonization, indigenous peoples of Brazil cultivated and used tobacco in sacred rituals and medicinal practices. The plant held deep spiritual significance, connecting communities to their ancestors and the natural world.
Colonial Period
With Portuguese colonization, tobacco cultivation expanded dramatically. Brazil became one of the world's leading tobacco exporters, with the crop shaping entire regional economies and establishing trade routes that would define centuries of commerce.
The Brazilian Tobacco Era
Since the early 1800s, Brazil has cultivated a rich tobacco tradition. From fertile plantations to expertly rolled charutos and finely crafted cigarillos, Brazilian tobacco reflects centuries of craftsmanship, innovation, and cultural pride. Each creation carries the flavor of Brazil’s unique terroir and the legacy of generations dedicated to quality, excellence, and the art of smoking in every form.

In recent years, people have increasingly turned away from industrialized products, seeking handcrafted Brazilian tobacco products that reflect care, authenticity, and tradition.
